Art is Not A Scam

It is time to turn a new leaf. You are retired and have nothing to do. Thankful for your new found freedom, you initially felt like dancing for joy. On the very first day, you woke up early and waved at every bleary-eyed neighbor from your front door as they pulled out of their driveways. While you relished the aroma of your French-pressed coffee and read the newspaper from end to end, you looked at the rest of your life and can only see more days like this. You cannot wave at everyone every day. As days turned to weeks, the inevitable boredom crept in. The days were longer and the nights were not any better. Looking out your kitchen window, you saw the deplorable condition of your lawn. Calling it an eyesore was an understatement. You vowed to do something more with your life than just mope. You plan to embark on grass seeding after pulling out the nasty weeds that took their place. Thinking about the task at hand, you feel better already.

You listed all the changes that you plan to do. Apparently, there is more than just the lawn that needs repair. You feel a new rush of adrenaline as you go through the negotiations for the repairs. You feel like the old you is coming back with a vengeance as you continue your wheeling and dealing. Big or small, nothing gets past your scrutiny, not even planting grass seed. You rubbed your hands together in anticipation for the new tasks ahead.
